The Story of Jonathan Myrick Daniels (8/15/09)
Here are two links with
elements of the story of seminarian and martyr Jonathan Myrick
Daniels. His is a powerful witness of transformation and commitment to
living the Magnificat.
In this discussion by Adrian Fortescue from 1912 Fortescue states, "It is one of the elements of the liturgy of which we
have the earliest evidence." This is a very useful piece for an instructed Mass.
So this is an interesting beginning to a project in which the podcasters are moving through the psalter along with
the lectionary and doing some interesting commentary followed by a
rendition of the psalm that is a mix of spoken word and chanting. Seems very promising!
